JG Management Group LLC is seeking an experienced Airtable & Business Systems Specialist to support the implementation of operational systems for client projects within our Operations & Systems practice. This role is focused on building and implementing business systems, not simply providing administrative Airtable support. You will work from defined business requirements, workflows, and project scopes to build practical systems that improve visibility, organization, reporting, accountability, and workflow execution for small and growing businesses. Projects may involve Airtable databases, CRM systems, dashboards, forms, automations, integrations, workflow tools, and supporting documentation. What You’ll Be Responsible For Design and build Airtable bases based on defined business requirements Develop CRM and pipeline-management systems Build operational dashboards and reporting interfaces Create forms, views, tables, relationships, formulas, and structured data models Build workflow and process-management systems Configure Airtable Interfaces Create appropriate automations and notifications Integrate Airtable with other business applications when required Use tools such as Zapier, Make.com, APIs, or native integrations when appropriate Improve or restructure poorly designed Airtable systems Translate documented workflows into functioning business systems Test systems before implementation Troubleshoot formulas, automations, permissions, integrations, and data issues Document how completed systems operate Support client implementation and handoff Make reasonable recommendations without unnecessarily overengineering solutions Expected Deliverables Depending on the client engagement, deliverables may include: Airtable database architecture CRM systems Lead and sales pipelines Client-management systems Project-management systems Operations dashboards KPI and reporting dashboards Forms and intake systems Workflow automations Notifications and task-routing systems Data relationships and database structures Zapier or Make.com integrations System documentation User instructions Testing and QA documentation Implementation and handoff support All deliverables will be based on an approved project scope. Required Skills We are specifically looking for strong experience with: Airtable Airtable Interfaces Airtable Automations Database Design Workflow Automation Business Process Automation CRM Implementation Data Management Dashboard Development Business Systems Implementation Process Improvement Systems Documentation Experience with Zapier, Make.com, APIs, and third-party integrations is strongly preferred. What We’re Looking For The right person understands that a business system should solve an operational problem — not simply look impressive. You should be capable of receiving a business requirement such as: “Management needs visibility into every lead, who owns the next action, how long opportunities have remained in each stage, and what requires immediate attention.” …and translating that requirement into a structured, reliable system. Strong candidates should be able to think through: Business requirement → data structure → workflow → interface → automation → testing → documentation → implementation We are looking for someone who is: Highly proficient with Airtable Detail-oriented Strong at database and workflow design Comfortable solving operational problems Able to work from written requirements Capable of explaining technical systems clearly Organized with system documentation Able to work independently Comfortable receiving feedback and revising implementations Focused on practical solutions rather than unnecessary complexity Communication Expectations Clear communication and documentation are important to this engagement. You will be expected to: Keep assigned project work and statuses current Provide concise progress updates Communicate technical limitations or blockers early Ask questions when requirements are unclear Document important configuration decisions Identify when a requested change would affect project scope Explain system functionality in language a nontechnical client can understand You should not make material changes to an approved client scope without authorization. How We Work JG Management Group retains responsibility for the client relationship, project scope, pricing, contracts, project management, and final quality approval. You will typically receive: An approved project scope Defined business requirements Process/workflow requirements Required deliverables Project deadlines Access to the systems necessary for your assigned work Depending on the engagement, you may work with: JG Management leadership An Operations Project Manager Client stakeholders Process/SOP specialists Other approved technical specialists Your responsibility is to execute the technical systems portion of the approved project. You will not independently negotiate client pricing, modify contracts, promise additional deliverables, approve expenses, or represent yourself as authorized to bind JG Management Group. Engagement Structure This is an independent contractor engagement intended primarily for project-based client fulfillment. The initial engagement is expected to be part-time and less than 30 hours per week. We are building a qualified specialist bench, so successful contractors may be invited to support additional JG Management client projects as they become available. This does not guarantee a fixed volume of ongoing work. When Applying Please include: A brief description of your Airtable experience.
