Android Automation System (Graphene OS / Pixel) – HID-Based Multi-User Management & Content Posting

We are building a production-grade automation and management platform for a physical Android device farm. Hardware environment: Google Pixel 7A devices Graphene OS (privacy-focused Android) Multi-user profiles (up to 31 users per device) Multiple accounts per user Devices run 24/7 in controlled environments with remote access Core goals of the system: Reliable login and account management across many users and devices Account profile editing at scale Content posting automation with strong human-like behavior Proxy / network management per account or user Central account database and health monitoring Clean web dashboard for monitoring device status, account status, activity logs, and performance metrics Full remote desktop compatibility so operators can manage the system daily Architecture that can scale from one box (20 devices) to dozens of boxes Critical technical requirement: The system must use hardware-level input simulation (HID principles) rather than pure software/ADB automation. Previous pure ADB approaches caused detection issues. We need a more robust, human-like interaction layer that works reliably inside Graphene OS multi-user environments. What we are looking for: Experienced Android automation / device farm teams or senior developers Strong preference for US-based agencies or developers with proven track records and excellent Upwork reviews Demonstrated experience with: – Android multi-user / work profile automation – Graphene OS or other custom Android ROMs – HID / hardware input simulation – Large-scale device orchestration – Building operator dashboards and remote management tools Project structure preference: We prefer teams that can deliver a solid, working MVP in significantly fewer hours than typical offshore estimates by using efficient architecture and senior talent. We are open to higher hourly rates in exchange for higher quality and faster, cleaner delivery. Engagement type: Hourly (preferred) or fixed-price milestone structure. We value clear communication, weekly progress demos, and clean, well-documented code that our internal team can maintain and extend. Please include in your proposal: Relevant past projects involving Android device farms, multi-user automation, or HID-level input simulation Your team’s location and typical communication hours (US time zones preferred) Rough hour or milestone estimate for a complete, production-ready system on the described hardware Your standard hourly rate or fixed-price approach Any questions you have about the technical constraints (Graphene OS multi-user + HID) We are ready to move quickly with the right team. Looking forward to speaking with experienced US-based agencies and senior developers who have solved similar device-farm challenges.Must-Have Skills Python (primary language for orchestration, scripting, device control, and backend logic) Android automation at a deep level (not just basic Appium) HID (Human Interface Device) input simulation — this is the most critical skill. They need real experience injecting hardware-level touch, swipe, and keyboard events (USB HID, Bluetooth HID, or equivalent low-level methods) Graphene OS / custom Android ROMs and multi-user profile handling ADB (advanced usage, even though pure ADB is not enough) Multi-device / phone farm orchestration (controlling 20+ devices simultaneously) Proxy management and network routing per user/account Account/session management systems Strongly Preferred Skills Kotlin or Java (for any Android-side components or custom input services) UIAutomator / Accessibility services / low-level input injection techniques Building operator dashboards (Python backend + React/Vue/HTML frontend is common) Database design (PostgreSQL, SQLite, or MongoDB for account health, logs, and status) Remote access tools (AnyDesk, RustDesk, VNC, or custom solutions) Linux system administration (since the control PC will likely run Linux) Experience with residential/mobile proxy gateways and sticky sessions.
