AI Animation Director / Technical Animator (AI-First Production Pipeline) Overview I'm looking for an experienced animator and technical artist to help build a next-generation AI-assisted animation pipeline for a new original animated comedy series. The goal is not simply to animate scenes. It's to help design a production workflow capable of turning a topical script into a finished 90-second animated episode within a single day. This is a long-term collaboration for someone excited about combining AI tools, motion design, automation, and stylized 2D animation into a scalable production system. The Project The series has a distinct visual identity inspired by handcrafted cutout animation, surreal illustration, and mid-century design. The production process will combine: AI image generation AI video generation 2D cutout animation Character rigging Motion design Voice synthesis Automation The goal is to create a workflow that becomes faster and more efficient over time while maintaining a high-quality visual standard. You should be equally comfortable thinking like an animator, motion designer, technical artist, and creative problem solver. Paid Test Project Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a paid test using provided visual assets. The objective is to demonstrate how you approach building an efficient AI-assisted animation workflow rather than simply showcasing traditional animation skills.
