◾️Summary We are looking for a Blender tutor for our daughter, who has moved past the complete-beginner stage and is continuing to build her skills. We value patience and a friendly, peer-like rapport with kids over formal expertise — though solid Blender skills are still important. ◾️About Our Student - Age: 8 years old - Blender experience: No longer a complete beginner — has the basics down and is ready to keep building - Other technical background: - Highly proficient in Scratch programming - Experience with Python - 3D design experience with Tinkercad and Roblox Studio - Strong computer literacy and navigation skills - Creative interests: - Currently designing her own original characters - Strong interest in character design and storytelling ◾️Position Details - Frequency: Once a week, about 1 hour per session - Format: Online, one-on-one - Students are welcome to apply - Professional credentials aren't required, but practical Blender skills are important - Above all, we're looking for someone patient with kids who can connect on a friendly, easygoing level ◾️Candidate Profile - Students studying CG, digital art, or related fields - Self-taught 3D artists - Hobbyists with solid Blender skills - Anyone comfortable learning alongside a child, with genuine enthusiasm for teaching ◾️Learning Goals - Continue building on fundamental Blender modeling techniques - Create 3D-printable files to produce physical figures of her characters - Develop basic animation skills to bring her characters to life ◾️Nice-to-Have - Ability to remotely guide her on using a Bambu Lab A1 mini 3D printer *We own a Bambu Lab A1 mini, so a tutor who can also teach its operation would be ideal. ◾️Responsibilities - Provide one-on-one Blender tutoring, roughly weekly, ~1 hour per session - Tailor lessons to her current (post-beginner) skill level - Balance teaching proper technique with encouraging her creative vision - Keep sessions fun, engaging, and motivating Provide patient guidance and troubleshooting ◾️Our Teaching Philosophy We believe learning sticks best when it feels like play.
