Book Editor (Developmental + Copy Editing) | 3 Non-Fiction Books

We’re looking for an experienced book editor to help edit three non-fiction books currently in development. One of the books is approximately 150 pages, while the other two are 60–80 pages each. We’re looking for someone who can do more than just proofread. We want an editor who can provide thoughtful feedback and recommendations to improve clarity, structure, flow, and readability while preserving the author’s voice. Responsibilities: -Edit manuscripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency -Improve sentence structure and readability -Recommend changes to strengthen organization and flow -Identify areas that need clarification or expansion -Ensure a professional, polished final manuscript -Provide comments and suggestions where appropriate Ideal Candidate: -Proven experience editing non-fiction books -Strong command of American English -Experience with developmental editing and copy editing -Able to preserve the author’s voice while improving the manuscript -Detail-oriented and communicates clearly -Experience editing business, entrepreneurship, leadership, or educational books is a plus Project Details Book #1: ~150 pages Book #2: 60–80 pages Book #3: 60–80 pages Please include: Links or samples of books you’ve edited Your editing process Estimated turnaround time Fixed-price quote (or project-based pricing) Any relevant certifications or publishing experience Preference: U.S.-based editor (or someone with extensive experience editing for the U.S. market).
