Brand Asset Designer

We are looking to partner with a designer who can help us create brand assets for our upcoming Etsy shop. We will need someone to design our business logo, square shop icon , shop banners (main digital billboard, mini shop banner, and receipt banner); and shop owner avatar. We’re looking for a strategic creative partner, not simply a designer for individual projects. The ideal candidate is an exceptional illustrator and brand designer who can translate complex emotional and spiritual ideas into sophisticated visual storytelling. They understand that every illustration, logo, pattern, and design element should strengthen a cohesive brand identity across Etsy, apparel, social media, print products, books, and future digital experiences. The ideal designer creates original artwork inspired by history, nature, symbolism, and cultural memory while avoiding clichés, stereotypes, and generic “spiritual” aesthetics. Their work should feel timeless, premium, emotionally resonant, and immediately recognizable. They are curious, collaborative, receptive to feedback, and excited to help shape a growing creative ecosystem. Experience developing brand identity systems, Etsy storefront assets, apparel graphics, typography, packaging, illustration, and visual storytelling is highly valued. Above all, we’re looking for someone who believes great design tells a story, creates belonging, and honors the people it represents. This isn’t just another design project. Ancestral Threads is a dynamic and innovative Etsy print-on-demand (PoD) venture specializing in providing high-quality apparel and accessories specifically designed for Black spiritual neurodivergent adults. We are a wearable language project rooted in ancestral memory, neurodivergent truth, and the quiet intelligence of lived survival. The company exists for the people who think deeply, feel loudly, notice everything, and are tired of being told to simplify themselves to be understood. The work lives at the intersection of Black cultural wisdom, Hoodoo-informed spiritual practice, and neurodivergent lived experience.
