Credit Counselor

Credit Counselor – We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and dependable Credit Counselor to assist individuals completing their bankruptcy credit counseling courses. The most important part of this position is providing a nonjudgmental and supportive experience. Many of our clients are going through a difficult or stressful time, and we want every person to feel respected, comfortable, and cared for. Responsibilities & Qualifications • Provide friendly, compassionate, and nonjudgmental support to clients going through bankruptcy. • Be patient with clients who may be confused, stressed, elderly, or uncomfortable using technology. • Listen to clients and make them feel heard—not rushed through the process. • Guide clients through the credit counseling process and answer questions in a clear and professional manner. • Be comfortable navigating multiple software applications and computer screens throughout the workday. • Have strong basic computer skills, including using a desktop/laptop computer, mouse, email, web-based programs, and data-entry systems. • Accurately enter and review client information. • Follow Evergreen's procedures and compliance requirements. • Communicate well with clients and other members of the Evergreen team. • Be dependable, organized, and able to multitask.
