Experienced Interior Design Drafter — San Diego, CA

Location: San Diego, CA Company: Genesis Interior Design Employment Type: Full-time Start Date: September 1, 2026 Schedule: Flexible, Monday–Friday Genesis Interior Design is looking for a highly experienced Interior Design Drafter to join our team. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and produce accurate, professional-quality drawings with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has strong experience in interior design drafting, particularly with construction documentation. Responsibilities - Create and revise floor plans, elevations, sections, details, RCPs, and millwork drawings. - Produce accurate construction and interior design documentation. - Translate design concepts into technically accurate drawings. - Maintain dimensions, annotations, layers, and drafting standards. - Review drawings for accuracy and consistency. - Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently. - Coordinate with the interior design team. - Manage multiple projects and deadlines. Requirements - 3+ years of professional drafting experience. - Advanced AutoCAD proficiency — required. - Bluebeam proficiency — required. - Revit experience — it’s a plus. - SketchUp or other 3D modeling experience. - Strong understanding of construction documentation and drafting standards. - Excellent attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. - Strong communication and organizational skills. - Availability to start September 1, 2026. Stage 4 — Interview Candidates who successfully complete the technical assessment will be invited to an interview with Eariny to discuss their experience, approach to design and drafting, and potential fit with the team. Stage 5 — Final Interview / Onboarding Discussion The final meeting will cover the position, responsibilities, compensation, schedule, employment terms, expectations, and onboarding.
