We're looking for an experienced Fashion Designer / Technical Designer to help transform our concepts into production-ready garments. Position Overview We're seeking a detail-oriented designer with experience creating professional tech packs for apparel manufacturers. You'll work closely with our founder to develop new scrub designs while ensuring every garment is ready for factory sampling and production. This is an ongoing freelance opportunity with the potential for long-term collaboration as we continue expanding our product line. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive factory-ready tech packs Translate sketches and concepts into production specifications Create garment construction details and technical drawings Produce flat sketches (front, back, and detail views) Build measurement specifications and grading charts Specify fabrics, trims, hardware, labels, and branding placement Recommend construction techniques that improve quality and durability Communicate with manufacturers during the sampling process Review samples and recommend revisions Maintain consistency across the SIGIL product line Ideal Qualifications 3+ years of apparel design or technical design experience Strong portfolio featuring professional tech packs Experience designing premium apparel, athletic wear, activewear, or scrubs Expert knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers Strong understanding of fabrics, fit, grading, and production processes Excellent communication and attention to detail Preferred Experience Experience designing products with features such as: Performance stretch fabrics Athletic fits Mesh ventilation panels Functional pocket systems Premium trims and zippers Medical apparel or performance uniforms Project Scope Initially, you'll help develop multiple new SIGIL products, including: Men's scrub tops Men's scrub pants Women's scrub tops Women's scrub pants Deliverables will include complete production-ready tech packs suitable for factory sampling.
