Freelance Pixel Artist for Retro Mecha Game Project

Seeking a freelance pixel artist in the USA for a retro-styled mecha game project. Responsibilities include creating approximately 30 sprites ranging from 8x8 to 64x64, including mechs, characters, objects, animated background tiles, and simple 2-frame animations. Must be proficient in pixel art techniques including dithering, shading, symmetry, and working with limited palettes and resolutions. Experience with Aseprite and custom sprite editors is required. Applicants must be U.S. residents and legally authorized to work in the United States. Payment will be as an independent contractor at the agreed rate, with the estimated project duration, scope, and deliverables established in advance. Rate will be considered alongside experience, portfolio quality, and estimated completion time. A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and Statement of Work (SOW) agreement will be required.
