We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack WordPress Developer to design and develop a custom WordPress-based customer management platform consisting of a CRM system, customer portal, and internal administration dashboard. This project requires a developer with experience building complex WordPress applications, not just marketing websites. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of WordPress internals, PHP development, database architecture, custom plugin development, API integrations, and building secure user-facing dashboards. The goal is to create a scalable platform where customers can access services, manage projects, view account information, submit requests, and communicate with administrators while internal users can manage customers, workflows, projects, and operational data. This will require custom development from the ground up, including planning the architecture, database structure, user permissions, workflows, and application interfaces. Core Features & Requirements 1. Customer Portal Development Build a secure customer portal allowing users to log in and manage their accounts. Expected functionality: User registration and authentication Custom customer dashboard Profile/account management Service overview Project status tracking Request submission forms Document/file access Notifications and alerts Customer communication history Account activity tracking Customers should have a clean, modern interface where they can easily view their relationship with the business and access relevant resources. 2. Custom CRM System Develop a CRM-style backend interface for managing customer relationships and business operations. CRM functionality may include: Customer records Contact management Company/account profiles Lead tracking Sales pipeline tracking Project association Internal notes Activity logs Customer history Assigned staff members Status workflows Custom fields Search and filtering The CRM should provide an efficient interface for internal users to manage customer data without relying on default WordPress administration screens. 3. Project Management Module Create functionality to manage customer projects from initial request through completion. Features may include: Project creation Project stages/statuses Milestone tracking Task assignments Deadlines Internal comments Customer-visible updates Attachments Progress tracking The system should support multiple projects per customer account. 4. Custom WordPress Plugin Development The majority of functionality should be developed using custom WordPress plugins rather than modifying WordPress core. Responsibilities include: Plugin architecture design Custom database tables where appropriate Custom post types Custom taxonomies Custom admin pages Custom user roles WordPress hooks/actions Secure data handling Plugin documentation 5. Database Architecture The developer should have experience designing efficient database structures. Responsibilities: Database schema planning Custom table creation when needed Data relationships Query optimization Data security Migration planning The solution should be capable of supporting a growing number of users, projects, and records. 6. API & Third-Party Integrations Experience integrating external systems is highly preferred. Potential integrations include: Hosting management APIs Domain registration APIs Payment platforms Billing systems CRM platforms Help desk/ticketing systems Email/SMS providers Authentication services External business applications The developer should be comfortable creating and consuming REST APIs. 7. User Roles & Permissions Implement granular access controls for different types of users. Examples: Customers Administrators Sales users Project managers Support staff Developers Requirements: Role-based permissions Restricted data visibility Secure customer separation Administrative controls 8. Front-End Development Create responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
