Independent Technical SEO, Backlink & Website Work Audit — WordPress, Framer and Ahrefs

We are seeking an experienced, independent WordPress developer and technical SEO professional to review approximately 17 months of website maintenance, on-page SEO, content publishing and backlink services performed by a prior agency. This is an evidence-based technical audit. We are not seeking a new SEO campaign, website redesign, legal opinion or advocate for either side. We need a neutral assessment of what work can be identified from the available WordPress databases and backlink records, when it was completed, whether it represented distinct client value and whether the promised backlink deliverables appear to have been fulfilled. Updated systems involved: WordPress multisite network Separate WordPress franchise website Ahrefs backlink exports WordPress/MySQL database files Website backups and limited supporting records Scope of work Review WordPress database revisions, posts, pages, templates and relevant metadata to identify work completed during each service month. Distinguish substantive website or SEO work from routine edits, duplicated changes across cloned websites, client-supplied content, remedial corrections and vendor-account branding changes. Review content-publishing activity and assess whether it represents meaningful SEO work or routine bulk publishing. Audit the backlink profile using Ahrefs exports. Separate potentially legitimate editorial backlinks from directories, local citations, booking or POS profiles, Chamber membership links, automated syndication, spam, translated duplicates and mirrored pages. Determine whether any qualifying backlinks can reasonably be attributed to the prior agency. Exclude directory submissions associated with a separate listings service from the backlink deliverables. Produce a clear month-by-month findings table and a concise written technical report.
