Registered Dietitian Consultant for Nutrition Education and FUnctional Program Development

Project Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to help develop evidence-based nutrition education resources for a remote precision-health and wellness program. The ideal consultant can translate nutrition science into clear, practical, professional guidance for adults seeking to improve their energy, consistency, body composition, and overall health. Scope of Work The selected consultant may assist with: * Developing general nutrition education frameworks * Creating intake screenings, educational guides, handouts, checklists, and digital resources * Reviewing nutrition content for scientific accuracy * Developing general meal-building frameworks and food-selection guidance * Creating educational materials related to hydration, protein, fiber, meal timing, and sustainable habits * Helping organize nutrition content into structured wellness pathways * Collaborating with professionals in fitness, behavioral coaching, and health education * Identifying claims or language that should be revised for accuracy or regulatory sensitivity Required Qualifications * Current RD or RDN credential * Active professional license where required by the freelancer’s jurisdiction * Strong understanding of evidence-based nutrition * Excellent written communication skills * Ability to explain complex concepts in clear, client-friendly language * Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines Preferred Experience * Preventive health or lifestyle-medicine education * Sports or performance nutrition * Adult weight-management education * Digital health, telehealth, or membership-based wellness programs * Interdisciplinary collaboration * Development of polished client-facing materials Engagement Structure * Remote freelance engagement * Hourly or milestone-based contract through Upwork * Initial project with the possibility of additional assignments * Flexible working schedule based on agreed deadlines Important Scope Limitation How to Apply Please submit an Upwork proposal that includes: * A brief description of your relevant experience * Confirmation of your RD or RDN credential * Examples from your Upwork portfolio or a description of similar materials you have developed * Your preferred hourly rate or milestone structure * Your general availability during the next four weeks Please do not complete or submit a custom nutrition plan as part of your application.
