Retro-Style Fast Food Mascot & Custom Lettering for Cottage Food Pretzel Brand

Retro Pretzels is a brand-new cottage food business based in Ventura, CA, specializing in traditional Philly-style soft pretzels. I'm looking for a mascot character to use on a banner for pop-up events and on paper flyers. The character's name is Salty. He has a Philly-style soft pretzel for a head, and should be illustrated in full color, in the retro style of classic fast-food mascots — think old McDonald's characters or the Burger King Kids Club lineup from the '80s/'90s. He should have a flamboyant, high-energy personality with a bold pose and expressive features. Color palette: red, white, blue and black (apart from the pretzel, of course). A Liberty Bell should appear somewhere in the image as a nod to Philadelphia. His name, "Salty," should appear below the character. I also need the tagline "Retro Pretzels – A Taste of Philly in the Heart of Ventura" hand-lettered in a custom, cartoony font that matches the tone and style of the mascot — same retro, playful energy. The goal is for this character to grab attention by evoking nostalgia for retro fast-food mascots, while appealing to kids and families at outdoor events. Deliverables: High-res vector files (AI/EPS) and transparent PNGs of the mascot, the same for the lettered tagline, plus one combined layout with both together. Separate files so I have flexibility to arrange them differently across banners vs. flyers. This must be original, hand-illustrated artwork — no AI-generated designs (Midjourney, DALL-E, etc.). Please include examples of your own hand-drawn or vector illustration work in your proposal. All rights to the final artwork, including the mascot character 'Salty' and the custom lettering, will transfer fully to Retro Pretzels upon final payment. This includes the right to modify, reproduce, and reuse the designs across all future marketing materials.
