Senior BCBA Clinical Consultant – Review AI Clinical Reasoning Framework

Project Overview I’m building an AI-powered educational platform called Autism Scout, designed to help autism parents better understand behavioral challenges through structured, evidence-informed reasoning. This is not a project to replace BCBAs or provide diagnosis, assessment, or individualized treatment. Instead, Autism Scout is being designed to teach parents how to think through challenges using a transparent clinical reasoning process inspired by evidence-based practice. To support that goal, I’ve created the first draft of the Autism Scout Clinical Reasoning System (ACRS)—a structured specification that defines how the AI reasons before making recommendations. I’m looking for an experienced BCBA to serve as a Clinical Consultant and review this foundational framework. ⸻ About the Project The ACRS is not a collection of prompts. It is not a treatment manual. It is a structured reasoning specification that defines: * Clinical reasoning principles * Safety framework * Communication-first reasoning * Sensory considerations * Functional behavior assessment logic * Confidence and uncertainty framework * Parent coaching methodology * Professional boundaries * Evidence-informed decision making The objective is to ensure that the reasoning process is clinically sound, transparent, neuro-affirming, and appropriate for an educational AI platform. ⸻ What I’m Looking For I’m seeking an experienced BCBA who enjoys thinking at a systems level and can provide thoughtful, constructive feedback on clinical reasoning. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys: * Clinical consultation * Parent education * Reviewing frameworks and methodologies * Improving systems rather than only individual cases * Helping shape an innovative educational product ⸻ Responsibilities You’ll review the complete ACRS specification and provide feedback on: * Clinical accuracy * Reasoning sequence * Missing considerations * Functional behavior assessment principles * Communication considerations * Sensory reasoning * Neuro-affirming alignment * Parent coaching methodology * Safety considerations * Professional boundaries * Evidence-informed practice * Areas of uncertainty or overconfidence The focus is on improving the quality of the reasoning, not editing grammar or rewriting the document. ⸻ Deliverables * Review the complete ACRS specification (approximately 60–100 pages upon completion). * Provide written comments, annotations, and recommendations throughout the document. * Identify gaps, incorrect assumptions, or opportunities for improvement. * Participate in one virtual review meeting (60–90 minutes) to discuss your feedback. * Review the revised version and provide final recommendations before Version 1.0. ⸻ Desired Qualifications Required: * Active BCBA certification in good standing. * Minimum 8 years of clinical experience. * Extensive experience working directly with autistic individuals and their families. * Experience providing parent training or caregiver coaching. * Strong written communication skills. Preferred: * Clinical leadership experience. * Experience supervising other BCBAs. * Experience developing clinical protocols or training materials. * Interest in technology or AI-assisted educational tools. * Familiarity with neuro-affirming practices while maintaining an evidence-based approach. ⸻ Compensation Fixed-price consulting engagement.
