Senior Research Associate (Part-Time)

- About Us Virtuous Sea Corp is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit conducting applied research on the employment outcomes of international students in the United States. Our Applied Research Series draws on original survey data and is developed in partnership with university career services offices. We are expanding the research program and looking for an experienced researcher to help lead it. - The Role This is a hands-on research position. You will design surveys, analyze data, and author published reports under your own name. The schedule is flexible and the work is largely self-directed. - What You'll Do Design survey instruments and manage data collection Conduct statistical analysis of survey data Author and co-author reports in VSC's Applied Research Series Present findings to university partners and at professional conferences Help shape the research agenda alongside the Chief Research Officer What We're Looking For - Required Master's degree or higher in education, higher education administration, sociology, public policy, or a related field At least four years of applied research experience, including independent responsibility for study design and analysis Proficiency in survey methodology and in R, Stata, or SPSS A record of research output we can review — published reports, articles, or conference presentations Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship - Preferred Experience in a university Institutional Research or assessment office Background in international education or international student services Teaching experience at the secondary or postsecondary level Doctoral degree
