Short-Form Video Editor for Firefighter Advocacy & YouTube We’re looking for a creative video editor to help grow a statewide firefighter advocacy brand through engaging YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other social media content. Most projects will begin as long-form speeches, interviews, and event footage that need to be transformed into compelling 30–90 second clips. Responsibilities * Edit short-form vertical videos (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok) * Find the strongest hooks and memorable moments from long-form footage * Add captions, motion graphics, zooms, sound effects, and tasteful B-roll where appropriate * Deliver polished, platform-ready videos with quick turnaround times * Collaborate on content ideas and improve audience engagement over time Qualifications * Strong portfolio of short-form social media editing * Experience editing for YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok creators * Excellent storytelling and pacing * Ability to work independently and communicate clearly * Bonus: Interest in public safety, firefighters, or advocacy work To Apply Please include: * 3–5 examples of your best short-form edits * A brief description of your editing process * Your typical turnaround time * Your rate per edited short This is expected to become an ongoing relationship for the right person, with multiple videos each month.
