Spanish/English Wellness Workshop Facilitator for Women's Nonprofit (Part-Time, Flexible) About Akhila Health Akhila Health is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved women through holistic health, stress management, and wellness education. Since 2015, we have provided free workshops to women experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, cancer, economic hardship, and other life challenges. In 2025, Akhila Health served more than 910 women through 182 workshops delivered in partnership with shelters, domestic violence organizations, cancer support centers, and other community-based nonprofits. Our facilitator team grew by 23%, our curriculum expanded by 33%, and we secured our first major institutional grant to support continued growth. Position Overview We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Wellness Workshop Facilitator to lead workshops for underserved women at nonprofit partner sites and community organizations. Workshops focus on topics such as stress management, mindfulness, emotional wellness, resilience, self-care, and holistic health. Facilitators deliver workshops in Spanish and help create safe, welcoming spaces where women can learn practical tools to support their well-being. This is a flexible, part-time contractor role ideal for someone who is passionate about wellness, service, and helping women thrive. Time Commitment - 4–8 workshops per month - Approximately 3 hours per workshop: - 1 hour workshop facilitation - Preparation and coordination - Post-workshop follow-up - Flexible scheduling - Workshops may be held virtually or in person at community partner locations Responsibilities - Facilitate engaging wellness workshops in Spanish - Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment - Adapt content for diverse audiences and community settings - Participate in facilitator training and onboarding - Collect basic attendance and feedback information - Collaborate with Akhila Health staff and fellow facilitators - Serve as a positive ambassador for Akhila Health's mission and values Required Qualifications - Fluent in Spanish and English - Experience presenting, teaching, facilitating, coaching, - counseling, or leading groups - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Passion for serving underserved women and supporting their well-being - Familiarity with mindfulness, stress management, or other holistic wellness practices - Reliable, professional, and organized Preferred Qualifications - Background in holistic health, wellness, mental health, education, coaching, or a related field We welcome applicants from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds who are committed to service, healing, and helping others thrive.
