Summary

Test a New Self-Hosted CMS and Provide Feedback - $20 I'm looking for people with web development, web design, CMS, or website hosting experience to test a new self-hosted CMS and provide honest feedback about the experience. Ratals is a free, open-source CMS that I've built from the ground up. It is now ready for outside users, and before promoting it publicly, I want to have several people independently go through the same process a new user would experience. What you'll do: • Start at Ratals.com with no additional instructions from me. • Review the website enough to understand what Ratals is. • Find and download the free CMS. • Install it on your own test hosting account. • Log into the Ratals admin and spend some time exploring and using the CMS. • Provide the URL where you successfully installed Ratals so I can verify the installation. • Provide written feedback about your entire experience. As you go, please make note of anything that's confusing, difficult to find, doesn't work as expected, could be explained better, or makes you unsure about what to do next. I'd also really like your overall impression once you've had a chance to use it. Don't worry about being critical. That's exactly what I'm looking for. If something doesn't make sense, you don't like how something works, or you expected something that you couldn't find, I want to know. I'd much rather discover those things during this testing phase than after putting Ratals in front of a larger audience. Requirements: • You must have your own web hosting account that supports PHP and MySQL. • You must have a spare domain or subdomain you can temporarily use for testing. • You should have experience working with websites or content management systems. • Please do not apply if you cannot perform an actual installation. I'm specifically looking for feedback from people who complete the full process. This is not a request for development work or a detailed QA audit. I'm looking for approximately 30-60 minutes of real-world testing and a short written summary of your experience. Payment: $20 upon completion of the installation, CMS test, and written feedback.
