I am looking for a talented and creative YouTube Video Editor to help turn raw footage into engaging, high-retention videos that viewers want to watch until the end. You’ll work closely with me to edit long-form YouTube videos. The ideal candidate understands not just how to edit video, but how to tell a story, maintain viewer attention, and create content optimized for YouTube. What You’ll Do: -Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery -Create compelling openings and strong pacing to maximize audience retention -Add B-roll, stock footage, images, screenshots, graphics, sound effects, and music -Create clean and engaging captions, animations, transitions, and visual effects -Remove unnecessary pauses, mistakes, filler words, and repetitive sections -Match the editing style and tone of the channel -Repurpose long-form videos into engaging YouTube Shorts and social clips -Collaborate with the content team on revisions and creative direction -Organize project files and deliver finished videos on schedule -Stay up to date with YouTube editing trends, formats, and audience-retention strategies What We’re Looking For: -Proven experience editing YouTube content -Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention -Excellent knowledge of editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro -Strong sense of timing, composition, music, sound design, and visual storytelling -Ability to use B-roll and graphics creatively rather than simply cutting footage together -Strong attention to detail -Ability to take feedback and make revisions quickly -Reliable communication and ability to consistently meet deadlines *A portfolio or examples of previous YouTube work Bonus Skills: -Experience editing high-retention YouTube channels -Motion graphics and animation skills -Adobe After Effects experience -Thumbnail design experience -Understanding of YouTube analytics and retention graphs -Experience with documentary, commentary, educational, business, podcast, or entertainment content *Looking for someone who wants to become a long-term creative partner, and pay can be negotiated as video results get evaluates. Not someone who can make cuts or just stick footage together.
