Summary

OpenAI ChatGPT Sites Recovery & Platform Investigation (Not a Rebuild) Project Overview I am looking for a software engineer to investigate a very unusual platform issue involving OpenAI ChatGPT Sites. This is NOT a rebuild project. The application already exists. The application is functional. I am looking for someone to help recover access to the original ChatGPT Sites project and determine whether a current deployment issue is caused by the platform rather than the application itself. Background Over the past several months, I built an AI-powered healthcare web application using OpenAI ChatGPT Sites. The application performs adaptive injury assessments using a proprietary clinical reasoning engine and generates personalized recovery guidance. The original website successfully deployed and is still live and functioning. After an OpenAI Workspace migration, I lost editor/management access to the original ChatGPT Sites project. The website still works—I simply can no longer manage or edit it. Rather than waiting indefinitely, I rebuilt the application inside a new ChatGPT Sites project. Current Status The rebuilt project includes: Complete homepage Adaptive assessment workflow Backend API integration Session management Resume functionality Automated testing Production build Extensive documentation Current validation: 58 automated tests passing Lint passes Production build passes Artifact validation passes However, deployment now appears to fail because of what looks like a ChatGPT Sites / Cloudflare deployment-layer compatibility issue. Everything indicates the application itself is valid. The deployment pipeline appears to inject an obsolete compatibility flag after packaging, causing deployment to fail. What I Need I am NOT looking for someone to redesign, rewrite, migrate, or rebuild this application. Instead, I need an experienced engineer to investigate: Whether the original ChatGPT Sites project can be recovered or reattached to my account/workspace. Whether the deployment failure is caused by project configuration, deployment configuration, Cloudflare compatibility, ChatGPT Sites, or an OpenAI Workspace issue. The safest path forward while preserving all existing work. Existing Assets This project is extremely well documented. Available resources include: Backend repository API contracts Recovery documentation Architecture documentation Original screenshots Functional rebuilt project Deployment diagnostics Build logs Validation reports Automated tests Historical development conversations This is not a reverse-engineering project. The application already exists. Ideal Experience Experience with any of the following is highly desirable: ChatGPT Sites OpenAI Workspaces Cloudflare Workers Next.js React TypeScript Vite Deployment debugging Infrastructure troubleshooting Platform migrations Initial Engagement I would like to hire someone for an initial 2–5 hour investigation. The goal is not to write code. The goal is to review the evidence and tell me: Is the original project recoverable? Is the deployment issue truly a platform issue? What is the safest path forward? If successful, there will likely be additional work maintaining and expanding this application. Before Applying Please answer these questions: Have you worked directly with ChatGPT Sites (not just the OpenAI API)? Have you worked with OpenAI Workspaces? Have you deployed applications using Cloudflare Workers? Have you investigated deployment or platform issues where the application was correct but the hosting platform was at fault? Have you ever helped recover access to an existing cloud-hosted project after the owner lost editor access? Please briefly describe the most similar project you've worked on. I appreciate your time, and I look forward to finding someone who enjoys solving difficult platform problems as much as building great software.
