# YouTube Shorts Video Editor We are looking for a creative **Short-Form Video Editor** to turn our long-form YouTube videos into engaging, high-retention Shorts targeting a US audience. You will receive the completed long-form video and/or suggested timestamps. Your job is to identify the strongest hooks and moments and turn them into polished Shorts that grab attention and encourage viewers to watch the full video. ### Responsibilities * Create **2 YouTube Shorts per week** * Extract the best moments from long-form videos * Add engaging captions, cuts, zooms, transitions, and visual effects * Optimize videos for **9:16 vertical format** * Keep the editing fast-paced and retention-focused * Maintain a consistent editing style across videos ### What We're Looking For * Experience editing YouTube Shorts, TikTok, or Instagram Reels * Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, and audience retention * Ability to identify engaging moments from educational content * Experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar software * Good understanding of content that appeals to a US audience Please include **examples of Shorts/Reels you have edited** when applying.
