Summary

About the Role We are a group of companies specializing in marketing strategy and operational services for private addiction treatment and behavioral health centers. Our co-founders are in long-term recovery, making this work deeply personal; therefore, we uphold the highest standards of quality. Our services include Google Ads, SEO, social media, and admissions support through a marketing agency, a self-service SaaS platform, and a community, media, and learning center for non-clinical leaders in the addiction treatment industry. We are looking for a WordPress Developer who is highly experienced, reliable, and execution-oriented. This is a hands-on development role. You will be building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress sites for addiction treatment clients, working closely with our internal team. The right person is sharp, detail-obsessed, communicates proactively, and gets things done without needing to be chased. Key Responsibilities WordPress Development & Implementation - Build, maintain, and update WordPress sites and pages using Elementor and other leading page builders. - Optimize site performance, speed, and Core Web Vitals scores. - Implement conversion-optimized landing pages aligned with client marketing goals. - Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, broken layouts, and plugin conflicts efficiently. - Maintain and update existing sites, including plugins, themes, and core WordPress updates. Content Updates & Publishing - Post and format blog articles, commercial pages, and other content in WordPress, ensuring proper layout, styling, and on-page structure. - Make copy edits, image swaps, and layout adjustments to existing pages at the team's direction. - Apply heading hierarchies, internal links, meta fields, and basic on-page SEO formatting consistently across all published content. - Upload and optimize images, ensure proper alt text, and maintain visual consistency with brand guidelines. - Execute routine site updates quickly and accurately, including form changes, navigation edits, footer updates, and similar day-to-day requests. Collaboration & Communication - Collaborate closely with the Client Success Manager, SEO & Google Ads teams, and other specialists. - Translate briefs and strategy direction into clean, functional builds. - Surface blockers early and propose solutions rather than waiting to be prompted. - Participate in regular internal team meetings (availability required during PST business hours). - Provide clear updates on task status and flag anything at risk of missing a deadline. - Coordinate file handoffs and deliverable timelines with internal team members. Quality & Process - Deliver clean, maintainable code and well-organized builds that others can work in. - Document technical decisions, workflows, and system architecture clearly. - Follow QA best practices and test thoroughly before handing off any deliverables. - Maintain ClickUp tasks with accurate status updates and clear notes. - Adhere to deadlines without exception; flag concerns well in advance if timelines are at risk. Qualifications Required - Proven, hands-on experience with WordPress development (3+ years preferred). - Deep proficiency with Elementor and similar page builders. - Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP in the context of WordPress theme and plugin customization. - Experience with performance optimization, including caching plugins, image optimization, and Core Web Vitals. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve plugin conflicts, layout issues, and site errors independently. - Exceptional attention to detail: you catch your own errors before anyone else does. - Strong ownership mindset: you do not wait to be told what is slipping; you flag it and fix it. - Highly responsive during core working hours; able to join regular internal meetings. - Excellent written and spoken English communication skills for async and real-time team coordination. - Ability to meet deadlines consistently in a fast-moving, remote environment. Nice to Have - Experience working in a digital marketing agency environment. - Familiarity with SEO best practices and their application to WordPress site structure. - Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or similar reporting tools. - Basic graphic design skills: comfortable working from Figma files or adapting existing layouts. - Familiarity with Git and version control workflows. Reporting & Collaboration - Reports directly to the Client Success Manager (CSM) for day-to-day development work. - Works closely with internal specialists across SEO, Google Ads, Social Media, Copywriting, and Design. - Uses Slack and ClickUp as primary tools for communication, task management, and progress tracking. How to Apply Send a resume, a brief note introducing yourself, and links to WordPress sites you have built or contributed to in your proposal.
