Full-Stack Engineer

# Founding Full Stack Engineer (Contract to Full-Time) I'm looking for the first technical hire for an early-stage startup. This is not a role where you'll receive detailed tickets every day. If you enjoy solving problems, researching different approaches, and building products from scratch, keep reading. The initial engagement will be contract-based. If we work well together, I'd love for this to grow into a long-term role as a Founding Engineer, with the opportunity for equity. ## About us We're building a consumer platform that helps independent brands connect with customers around the world through discovery, search, and data. We're at a very early stage, which means you'll have a real say in how the product is built and how technical decisions are made. What you'll be working on You'll help design and build the first version of the platform. Some examples include: * Building product ingestion pipelines and integrations * Designing backend systems and databases * Building customer-facing features * Implementing search and discovery experiences * Setting up analytics and event tracking * Researching different technical approaches and recommending the best one * Shipping quickly and improving the product through iteration What I'm looking for You're probably a good fit if you: * Love building products, not just writing code * Have built projects outside of work because you wanted to * Like researching new technologies before making decisions * Care about understanding the "why" behind a problem * Can own a feature from idea to production * Are honest when you don't know something * Communicate clearly and enjoy discussing trade-offs * Want to help shape a product instead of simply implementing requirements Technical background You don't need experience with every technology. Experience with some of these is helpful: * React or Next.js * TypeScript or JavaScript * Python * APIs * SQL databases * Cloud deployment * Data pipelines * Search systems * Web scraping or integrations If you think a different tool is a better fit for the problem, I'd love to hear your reasoning.
