Update UI to React or Modern UI for existing jsp pages

Looking for a Senior React Developer — Modernize Enterprise Java/Spring Boot Web App (Long-Term, Regulated Industry) I am rebuilding the front end of an established enterprise web application with legacy JSP pages. The backend is Java/Spring Boot with PostgreSQL. You'll work under our lead architect, who defines the architecture, API contracts, and component patterns — your job is to build clean, consistent React UI and the supporting API endpoints against those patterns. This is a multi-module business application (workflow-driven forms, list/detail views, approvals, dashboards), not a marketing site. We value correctness, consistency, and maintainable code over speed or flash. The product serves a regulated industry, so disciplined, careful work and following defined patterns exactly is essential. Starting with a small paid trial task, then scaling to ongoing module work for the right person. We expect a long-term relationship. What you'll do • Build React components and screens following an established design system and component pattern • Wire UI to REST APIs; implement standard CRUD, list/filter/detail, and multi-step form/approval flows • Implement supporting REST endpoints in Spring Boot against defined API contracts • Write clean, tested, documented code that matches our conventions • Work within our Git workflow (Bitbucket) and CI pipeline; submit focused, reviewable pull requests Required • 5-10 years React (hooks, component architecture, state management, forms) • Solid REST/JSON integration experience • Working Spring Boot / Java familiarity — enough to add and modify endpoints confidently • PostgreSQL / SQL basics • Git-based team workflow, clean PR discipline • Ability to follow an existing architecture and coding standard precisely rather than imposing your own • Clear written English and reliable async communication Nice to have • Experience modernizing legacy JSP/JSF apps to React • Enterprise B2B or regulated-industry software (healthcare, medical device, pharma, finance) • Component-library / design-system experience • Familiarity with audit trails, role-based access control, or e-signature workflows How we work • You report to our lead architect; patterns and API contracts are provided • Milestone-based, fixed-scope tasks (per screen/module), not open-ended hourly • Code review on every PR; we care about consistency across the codebase • All development against a sandbox with synthetic (non-production) data only To apply Please include: 1.
