WordPress Developer Needed for Ongoing Website Updates

We’re looking for a WordPress developer to help us with ongoing updates to an existing website. We’re currently going through a rebrand, so there will be a mix of content, design, and development work over the next several months. Most of the work is straightforward WordPress work: updating text and images, replacing videos, adjusting existing pages, and building new pages as needed. There will also be occasional technical issues that need troubleshooting, so you should be comfortable with PHP, CSS, JavaScript, themes, and plugins rather than only working inside a page builder. We also want someone who pays attention to site speed and mobile responsiveness. When new content or pages are added, they should fit naturally with the rest of the site and not introduce performance or layout issues. From time to time, we’ll also need help updating Canva presentations and marketing decks, so having a decent design eye is important. This is a part-time, ongoing position for approximately 6 months. We need someone available Monday through Friday during our working hours and comfortable communicating regularly through Slack and joining a weekly meeting. What you'll be working on: WordPress content and page updates Building new pages Updating photos, videos, and website copy CSS and responsive fixes PHP/theme adjustments when necessary Plugin troubleshooting Page speed and performance improvements Basic Canva and marketing deck updates We’re looking for someone at an intermediate or higher level who can work independently, communicate when something needs clarification, and make changes without breaking other parts of the site.
