Remote English ↔️ Japanese Over-the-Phone Interpreter (OPI&VRI) – Long-Term Opportunity Details of the job or project Talvatec is seeking qualified and professional Japanese interpreters to join our remote interpreter team for Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) assignments. The selected interpreter will provide accurate, clear, and professional real-time interpretation between English-speaking and Japanese-speaking individuals. The interpreter must be able to communicate effectively in both languages while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy throughout each call. Position: Japanese Over-the-Phone Interpreter Language pair: English ↔️ Japanese Service: Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) Work arrangement: Fully remote Project: Ongoing/long-term opportunities based on client demand and interpreter availability Requirements: * Fluency in English and Japanese * Excellent listening and verbal communication skills * Ability to interpret accurately and naturally in real time * Previous professional interpreting experience is preferred * Strong attention to detail and professionalism * Reliable high-speed internet connection * Quiet, private, and professional workspace * Computer and reliable headset suitable for telephone interpreting * Ability to follow assigned schedules and maintain reliable availability Location Restrictions: Applicants may be asked to provide their current country of residence/location during the recruitment and onboarding process. Compensation: The starting rate is $8 USD per hour, with compensation determined by qualifications, experience, and project requirements. Opportunities for increased compensation may be available based on qualifications and performance. Selected candidates will be required to complete the company’s onboarding and training process before beginning assignments.
