Native Japanese Tutor in Japan, Genki N1-N5, English Fluent, Daily 1 to 2 Hour Sessions

I am looking to hire a Japanese tutor based in Japan for a long term, ongoing coaching arrangement that I expect to run for years, not weeks. Strong English is essential since I am starting from scratch and need clear explanations in English at the beginner stage. About me and my goals I am a complete beginner studying for JLPT N5, with a long term plan to work steadily through N4, N3, N2, and eventually N1 over the coming years. I want to build a lasting relationship with one tutor who can grow with me through these levels, which is why I care more about English teaching ability and reliability than credential inflation. What I need Daily one on one sessions running 1 to 2 hours each, delivered over virtually, about 4-5 days per week. Need to support mostly weekdays and sometimes on weekends based on my schedule availability. I need someone who understands a structured beginner curriculum, I use Genki covering grammar, vocabulary, kanji, reading, and speaking practice, plus light homework between sessions to keep momentum going. Sessions will be planned fro 60-90 minutes, but its necessary for you to be flexible and available if the session runs over to meaningfully finish the learning and questions from that session. This means from time to time, the session may take a little longer at the request of the student or recommendation from you (the teacher) to ensure you are seeing the right progress. Requirements You must be based in Japan or native from Japan, and highly proficient in English (fluent level or better), able to explain grammar and nuance clearly to a total beginner. Japanese proficiency should be at least JLPT N3, with N2 or N1 preferred. You can be a native Japanese speaker or a fluent non native speaker who has lived in Japan for a very long-term. Real experience teaching absolute beginners matters, along with strong reliability, consistent daily availability, and a stable internet connection. Payment structure This is a fixed price contract run through Upwork milestones with funds held in escrow. I will fund each milestone in advance and release it after sessions are completed. I am open to either a bi-weekly milestone released every other week, or a monthly milestone released at the end of each month once the full month is done. Please let me know which cadence you prefer in your proposal. Budget Budget is $200-400 monthly depending on experience and expertise, with expectations outlined above to meet regularly weekly. By bidding, you accept that missing weekly sessions or failing to be perform to help effectively prepare for the JLPT exam may result in forfeiture of all relevant weekly earnings because you did not show up or complete the requested tutoring and language education support required for that week.
