React Native Developer for Compliance App

Job Description We run a compliance management platform that organisations use to handle attendance, leave, document control, and internal communication. The web platform has just been rebuilt on Next.js, PostgreSQL, and Firebase. We now need a native mobile companion app for iOS and Android. This is not a build from scratch. The backend, database, authentication, and API layer already exist and are live. We need an experienced React Native developer to build the mobile client on top of them so that staff and managers can complete daily compliance tasks from their phones instead of a mobile browser. What We Need Built • React Native (Expo) app for iOS and Android from a single codebase • Firebase Authentication with biometric unlock and secure token storage • Tab and stack navigation with a shared design system • Leave requests with balance display and approval status screens • GPS or QR based check in and check out with a live shift timer • Attendance history with calendar and list views, plus lateness and status indicators • Document upload from phone camera or gallery, with listing, preview, file type and size validation, and role based visibility • Organisation announcements with read receipts • Direct and group chat with realtime delivery • Push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging plus an in app notification centre • Signed builds submitted to the Apple App Store and Google Play • Post launch monitoring and stabilisation support Our Stack React Native (Expo), React Navigation, React Query, TypeScript, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Next.js API routes, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Storage. Who We Are Looking For • Strong React Native and Expo experience, with apps shipped to both stores • Comfortable consuming an existing REST API rather than rebuilding a backend • Hands on with Firebase Auth, FCM, camera and file handling, and realtime chat • Has personally handled App Store Connect and Play Console submission and review • Clear written English and consistent progress updates Project Details Fixed price engagement, roughly 112 hours of work across five phases, with 6 to 7 weeks to production launch. Store accounts and the Firebase project will be provided under our organisation. Work begins once the web platform build is signed off.
