Songwriting & Music Theory Writer for Music Producers – Outline + Content

We’re looking for an experienced music writer with a strong background in songwriting, music theory, and music production to help develop educational content specifically for music producers. The project will begin with creating a clear, well-structured outline covering songwriting and practical music theory from a producer’s perspective. We are also looking for someone who can potentially continue with the full writing of the content once the outline is approved. The material should be practical, engaging, and easy to understand—not overly academic or filled with unnecessary technical jargon. The goal is to help producers understand music theory and songwriting concepts they can actually apply when creating music. What We’re Looking For Strong knowledge of music theory and songwriting Good understanding of modern music production Experience writing educational content, books, courses, guides, or similar long-form material Ability to organize complex topics into a logical, beginner-friendly structure Clear, engaging, and practical writing style Ability to explain music concepts with real-world examples Excellent English writing and communication skills Initial Deliverable The first stage will be a comprehensive content outline, including proposed chapters, topics, subtopics, and the progression of concepts. If the outline is approved, there may be an opportunity to continue with the full writing project.
