$125/hour A/R Process Walkthrough, Paid Research: Billing/Finance Leads in construction

We build financial operations software for contractors and are researching how accounts receivable actually gets done day to day. We're hiring people who personally owned the A/R workflow at a home services company (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, restoration) or a commercial construction contractor (GC or specialty trade) for paid walkthrough sessions. This is not advisory work. We want the mechanics. You will take us through one real example live, end to end: Home services: work completed, invoice created and sent, follow-up cadence, what happens when a commercial account hits 60 days past due, payment received and applied in the books. Commercial construction: field progress to pay application, schedule of values, submission and approval, retainage tracking, chasing payment from the GC or owner, cash received and applied. Requirements: You did this work hands-on or directly managed the people who did. Executive oversight only is not a fit. 3+ years running billing and A/R for a contractor, ideally $20M+ revenue Able to screen share your actual system (QuickBooks, Sage, Foundation, Vista, ServiceTitan, Procore, spreadsheets, whatever you really used) or sanitized exports. Hide customer names and dollar amounts as needed. The process is what we care about, not the data. Comfortable answering questions as you go, on a recorded call Logistics: $125/hour, billed for actual time on the call, not a guaranteed hour. Most walkthroughs run 45-60 minutes; some wrap faster. Possibly one paid follow-up. Sessions are recorded for internal research use only. In your proposal, answer these: Company type and approximate annual revenue when you owned A/R Your title and how many years you did the work hands-on What systems you used for billing and accounting In 2-3 sentences, walk through one real example of getting an invoice or pay application from billed to paid and what a typical dispute looks like Confirm you can screen share a sanitized example live and are OK with the session being recorded Proposals that skip the questions will be declined.
