ACCA/ACA Qualified Financial Controller, Group Reporting and Month-End Close

We are looking for an experienced ACCA/ACA qualified Financial Controller or Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to support a growing business with financial reporting, month-end close, statutory compliance, and finance process improvement. This suits a finance professional who works well independently, picks up business requirements quickly, and delivers accurate, timely, and insightful reporting. Strong experience in group reporting, consolidations, IFRS/FRS 102, and management reporting is essential. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Monthly Reporting and Close - Preparing monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) - Running month-end close activities - Preparing and reviewing journal entries - Balance sheet reconciliations - Investigating variances and writing commentary Group and Statutory - Preparing group consolidations across multiple entities - Preparing statutory financial statements under IFRS and FRS 102 - Supporting year-end external audits and resolving auditor queries - Reviewing accounting treatments for compliance with standards Planning and Analysis - Cash flow forecasting - Budgeting and forecasting support - Financial analysis and KPI reporting - Building Excel-based financial models and reporting packs Process - Improving finance processes and internal controls - Supporting automation of reporting - Ad-hoc finance projects REQUIRED - ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified - Minimum 8 years' accounting experience - Strong working knowledge of IFRS and FRS 102 - Proven experience preparing statutory accounts - Group consolidation experience - Strong month-end track record - Advanced Microsoft Excel - Excellent analytical and communication skills, high attention to detail - Able to work independently with minimal supervision NICE TO HAVE Experience with any of: Xero, Dynamics 365, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Power BI. Also valued: multi-currency accounting, international group reporting, and external audit coordination.
