ADU / Remodel / TI Drafter — AutoCAD & Revit — SoCal

Genexsis Inc. is an established Southern California building design firm — 35 years of practice and more than 750 completed projects across SoCal jurisdictions. We're looking for an experienced drafter to produce permit‑ready construction documents for our residential and light commercial work. You'll work directly on sheet sets that go through SoCal plan check, so we need someone who already knows what these jurisdictions expect. If you can take a schematic design or field measurements and turn out a clean, code‑aware, submittal‑ready set, we want to talk. What you'll work on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) — detached, attached, and conversions Residential remodels and additions Custom single‑family homes Commercial tenant improvements (TI) Responsibilities Produce complete construction document sets: site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and general notes Develop drawings from schematic designs, redlines, field sketches, and measurements Keep sets coordinated, consistent, and clean across all sheets Incorporate plan check corrections and revisions quickly and accurately Maintain layer standards, title blocks, and drawing conventions Required qualifications Proven experience producing construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit A portfolio of permitted SoCal projects (ADUs, remodels, custom homes, or TI) Working knowledge of the California Building Code (CBC), Residential Code (CRC), and Title 24 energy requirements Familiarity with Southern California plan check and permitting processes Strong attention to detail and the ability to self‑check a set before it goes out Reliable communication and turnaround Nice to have Experience with WUI (Wildland‑Urban Interface) compliance Familiarity with local ADU ordinances and jurisdiction‑specific requirements (e.g., Riverside, San Bernardino, LA, Orange, San Diego counties and their cities) Ability to red‑line and coordinate with contractors and consultants Engagement & budget This is a fixed‑price engagement, priced per project. We'll start with one paid project on a real or representative set to confirm fit, then move to steady per‑project work for the right person. Please quote your price per set in your proposal, and note how pricing scales by project type and complexity.
