Summary

The Role: Our agency is looking for a forward-thinking AI Search/AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) & GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) expert to join our team. Your role would be focusing on getting our clients cited as an authority in response to user queries on Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. You will be joining a team of several other AI search experts who already work for us. This is for seasoned, long-time AI search experts ONLY. You must understand how LLMs retrieve information (RAG), how they weigh entity authority, and how to structure content so it is machine-readable and citable. Key Responsibilities: - Developing and Implementing AI Search/AEO/GEO/SEO campaign strategies - Maintaining comprehensive log of dates and activities performed on behalf of clients in Google Sheets (we provide full transparency to clients about our work) - Updating tracking tools (e.g. Mangools, Visby, etc) with prompt tracking - LLM "Share of Voice" Audits: Regularly query major LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) to see how they currently perceive our clients vs. competitors. - Content Optimization for GEO: Rewrite and restructure existing client content to favor "Direct Answer" formats, high entity density, and natural language query matching. - On-Page Technicals: Implement advanced Schema markup (JSON-LD) and structure data to ensure LLMs can parse our clients' entities and relationships clearly. - Off-Page Citation Building: Identify and execute outreach for "Data Sources" that LLMs trust (e.g., reputable wikis, industry journals, authoritative directories) to build the knowledge graph around our clients. We don't build random content and guess, we use data to inform our work. - Brand Authority Management: Monitor brand mentions to ensure consistent N-A-P (Name, Address, Phone) and sentiment across the dataset sources that feed LLMs. Required Skills & Experience: Proven understanding of AEO/GEO: You deeply understand modern AI search technologies and best practices for multiple LLMs, including ChatGPT, Gemini/AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, etc. Prompt Engineering: Ability to use advanced prompting to reverse-engineer why an LLM is favoring a specific competitor. Knowledge Graph / Entity SEO: Experience optimizing for Google’s Knowledge Graph or similar entity-based search. Technical SEO: Strong grasp of Schema.org, HTML structure, and citation flows.
