GL Accountant, AP Specialist, or Fixed Assets Accountant - Oracle E Business Suite

We're looking into the corporate accounting space and want to understand in detail, how EBS accountants actually work. What you'll do (5–10 hrs/week to start): Showing us your real workflows in Oracle E-Business Suite: how you run month-end close, reconcile accounts and tie the trial balance back to subledgers, clear invoices off matching holds and build a payment batch, and run monthly depreciation - and answering questions along the way: why this step, what's the shortcut, where do people go wrong? If you use Oracle EBS regularly and can talk through your process clearly, you're exactly who we're looking for. No prep needed, just your day-to-day expertise. Who you are - any of these backgrounds fits: - GL Accountant / Financial Accountant - you run the close: journal entries, allocations, and reconciliations. When the numbers don't tie, you're the one who drills into the subledger to find out why. - AP Specialist / AP Supervisor - you enter supplier invoices, work them off matching holds, and build the payment batches. - Fixed Assets Accountant - you add assets, run monthly depreciation, and process retirements and transfers. Must-have: 5+ years of hands-on, near-daily use of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12; not Fusion Cloud or NetSuite only); fluency with GL, AP, and the close calendar in at least one production environment; able to articulate why you do what you do, not just click through it. Nice-to-have: experience across more than one of the profiles above; month-end work that touches other modules (Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Projects) or period-close coordination across subledgers.
