We're Hiring: Finance Manager / Financial Officer (Remote – Australian Hours) We're looking for someone sharp, reliable, and detail-obsessed to take full ownership of the financial side of our business. This isn't a basic bookkeeping job. We want a proper financial officer — someone who actually understands what the numbers mean, can spot problems before they happen, and helps us run the business with a clear picture of where the money is going. You'll essentially be the person who keeps our finances clean, accurate, and under control — and who can tell us, at any point, exactly where we stand. What you'll own: Managing and issuing all invoices (customers, suppliers, product, and installer invoices) Tracking every incoming payment — deposits, part-payments, full payments Recording and managing all business expenses Running regular bank reconciliations so everything matches up Tracking profit on a per-job / per-project basis Preparing clear monthly P&L summaries showing monthly profit, monthly expenses, and the true net position of the business Advising us on how much can be safely withdrawn without hurting cash flow Monitoring cash flow to keep operations running smoothly Keeping every financial record organised, accurate, and audit-ready Working with our accountant: We already have an accountant in Australia who handles our tax filing. You'll be the point of contact who stays in touch with them — making sure our records are clean and ready, providing whatever they need, and keeping everything aligned so tax time is painless. You don't need to file Australian tax yourself, but you do need to be comfortable coordinating with the accountant who does. Systems you'll work with: Xero (our main accounting system) GoHighLevel (for tracking sales and jobs) Google Sheets (internal tracking) What we're looking for: Strong, hands-on Xero experience (must-have) Someone who reads business numbers, not just enters data Sharp attention to detail and a very organised, structured way of working Comfortable handling lots of transactions and invoices without things slipping Solid understanding of cash flow and profitability Good English — you'll be communicating with us and our accountant regularly A proactive mindset: flag issues, suggest improvements, don't just wait to be told Nice to have: Experience with Australian businesses Experience in service-based or job-based industries Strong Google Sheets skills Hours: Full-time preferred. Must overlap with Australian working hours. Pay: First month: trial period — 600 AUD Ongoing: competitive monthly salary based on experience, around 800–1,000 AUD/month Long-term role with real growth potential as the business scales
