Accounting Consultant Needed for QuickBooks Cleanup, Process Setup & Systems Integration Support

We are an e-mobility company focused on electric vehicles, EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy integration, and related mobility solutions. As our operations continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced CPA or senior accounting consultant to help strengthen our accounting foundation, improve financial controls, and support operational continuity. Project Overview We are seeking a qualified accounting professional with strong QuickBooks experience to review, ane effect accounting corrections to prior years, and improve our accounting setup. The ideal consultant will help us capture accounting corrections in QuickBooks, restructure key foundational accounting settings, support integration between QuickBooks and our primary collections application, and ensure our internal team has clear processes and documentation for day-to-day accounting operations. This role is not just bookkeeping support. We need someone who can think structurally, identify weaknesses in the current accounting setup, recommend practical improvements, and help implement a more reliable financial operating system for the company. Scope of Work The selected consultant will be expected to support the following: QuickBooks Review, Cleanup & Corrections Review the current QuickBooks setup and identify errors, gaps, or structural issues. Capture and process required accounting corrections. Review and improve the chart of accounts where necessary. Ensure transactions are properly categorized and aligned with the company’s operational model. Help improve reporting accuracy and consistency. Foundational Accounting Setup Restructure foundational accounting configurations as needed. Recommend and implement best practices for account mapping, revenue recognition, collections tracking, expenses, assets, liabilities, and reconciliations. Ensure the accounting structure can support growth across EV sales, leasing, charging services, and related business lines. Collections Application Integration Oversee and support integration between QuickBooks and our primary collections application. Ensure collections data flows properly into QuickBooks. Help define the correct treatment of customer payments, receivables, deposits, subscriptions, lease payments, and other collections. Work with our internal team and technical vendors as needed to troubleshoot and validate the integration. Operational Accounting Processes Review current day-to-day accounting responsibilities handled by staff. Help define clear roles, responsibilities, and workflows for accounting and finance-related tasks. Train or guide team members so they have a strong handle on their operational responsibilities. Establish practical checks and controls to reduce errors and avoid process breakdowns. Documentation & Continuity Planning Prepare or improve accounting SOPs, checklists, process notes, and operating documents. Ensure proper documentation is in place so accounting operations can continue smoothly even if key staff members are unavailable. Create a clear handover and continuity framework for recurring accounting functions.
