ACCOUNTS PAYABLE / XERO BOOKKEEPER Bills, Vendors & Payroll — Full-Time | Long-Term | Weekly Pay + Bonuses We run a structural and ornamental steel company, and we need one person to own our money lane — bills, vendors, payroll, and a clean set of Xero books. We promote from within, hand over more as you prove yourself, and grow your rate and your role as we grow. During your hours (7:00 AM–3:00 PM EST), your focus is here. This is for someone who wants to put down roots for years — a home, not a gig. ________________________________________ WHAT YOU'LL OWN You own the money lane end to end — what's owed, paid, reconciled, and coming. Nothing slips. Four lanes, all yours: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE — enter bills, issue payments (checks + ACH), reconcile, pay on time. VENDOR MANAGEMENT — statements, follow-ups, reconciliation, disputes resolved. PAYROLL & RECEIVABLES — run payroll (expense side) and help manage AR. XERO (YOU OWN IT) — get our behind, underused books current and live. The heart of the job. ________________________________________ TWO PHASES Phase 1 — Clean it up: get Xero current, rebuild the vendor ledgers, one source of truth. Phase 2 — Run it clean: AP, AR, and payroll on a clean system, on schedule, every week. The right person has done both — a messy cleanup AND a clean monthly run. Tell me about both. ________________________________________ IT GROWS INTO MORE This starts as bookkeeping and AP. As we build trust, it grows into real authority — access to issue payments and run the full money lane, in and out. The better you are, the more you own. ________________________________________ PAY & STRUCTURE A salary-style role paid hourly: 8 hours a day, 40 paid hours a week, guaranteed. Bonuses and add-ons are extra — never baked into base. — Trial: $3.00/hr for the first 4 weeks — prove accuracy, reliability, clean reconciled work. — After the trial: $3.00–$4.00/hr on performance — $4.00 the max for now, and it grows. ________________________________________ WEEKLY PAY — 40 HOURS GUARANTEED Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM EST (non-negotiable). Predictable weekly pay. We allow manual time — no screen trackers. We run on trust and results, not micromanagement. During your hours, your focus is on us. ________________________________________ BONUSES & INCENTIVES — GET PAID ON TOP OF YOUR BASE You get paid for protecting our money and keeping us clean — not just for clocking hours. Three ways to earn extra: INCENTIVE #1 — MONTHLY PERFORMANCE BONUS When the books are clean, every vendor's paid on time, and everything's reconciled, you earn it. More than one in a month is possible when you go above and beyond. INCENTIVE #2 — CLEANUP MILESTONE BONUSES One-time bonuses for the big wins: Xero fully current, vendor ledgers rebuilt, payroll clean and documented. INCENTIVE #3 — CATCH BONUSES Catch a double-charge, an overbilling, or a saving that protects our money — you get paid for it. ________________________________________ OPTIONAL — EXTRA PAID HOURS Your job is 40 hours/week, guaranteed. On top of that, you can choose up to 8 extra hours, weekend only (cleanup, reconciliation catch-up). Not required, capped at 8. Work 40 → paid 40. Work 48 → paid 48.
