About Staffor Consulting Staffor Consulting is a specialized workforce solutions firm with nearly 20 years of exclusive focus on the US nuclear power generation and utilities industry. We place highly specialized engineers, project managers, and technical professionals inside some of the most significant nuclear facilities in the country. We operate through Tier 1 MSP partnerships with large multi-billion dollar energy companies. We are growing — and we are looking for one exceptional HR professional to own this function entirely. This Is Not A Support Role You will be our sole HR Manager. No manager above you in HR. You will build our compliance framework, manage contractor relationships, set our documentation standards, and eventually coordinate a recruiting team beneath you. The person we hire will have a direct line to the President and the mandate to build something that lasts. Our last two people in this function stayed five and seven years respectively. What You Will Own — End-to-end contractor compliance — onboarding, I-9 verification, background check coordination, expiration tracking across 50+ active consultants — Candidate submissions in Fieldglass and Beeline— our most urgent daily task, competing against 15-20 vendors in real time with submission windows as short as 90 minutes — Bullhorn ATS management — placement records, job orders, pipeline tracking, consultant lifecycle — Primary contact for 40+ active nuclear and utility professionals — payroll coordination, timesheet management, consultant relations — Policy and process design — building HR policies, SOPs, and operational frameworks from scratch — MSP compliance — quarterly audits with Tier 1 workforce management programs — Team coordination — as Staffor scales you will coordinate and lead the recruiting function What We Are Looking For — 5+ years of HR experience with at least 2 years in staffing, MSP, or contractor management — Proven compliance discipline — I-9, background checks, audit preparation, zero tolerance for documentation gaps — Urgency as a default — you treat a submission window like a hard deadline and a payroll issue like a fire — Tool adaptability — Fieldglass and Bullhorn will be trained. What we cannot train is the instinct to learn fast and own the system by week two — Professional written English — 85% of this role is written communication with nuclear professionals and Fortune 500 utility clients — Full-time CST availability — 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, exclusively dedicated to Staffor Why This Role Is Worth Your Career This is a rare opportunity to own the HR function of a specialized firm operating at the intersection of nuclear energy and workforce solutions — one of the most compliance-intensive and strategically critical industries in the United States.
