Adobe InDesign Book Production Specialist — Final Corrections + KDP

We have a completed, professionally designed book that is currently in Adobe InDesign. The interior design, typesetting, paragraph/character styles, pagination, index, glossary, cover, and overall book production are already complete. The manuscript is now undergoing a final professional proofreading pass. We need an experienced Adobe InDesign book-production specialist to implement those final corrections directly into the existing InDesign files. This is not a book redesign or initial typesetting project. The work will involve: Implementing final proofreader corrections accurately in InDesign Working within the book’s existing paragraph and character styles Preserving the existing design, pagination and page flow wherever possible Resolving minor reflow caused by individual corrections Checking affected cross-references, index entries, page references, running heads, etc. Performing a final production/preflight check Preparing/exporting the final files for Amazon KDP The edits are expected to be relatively minor and should not substantially alter word count or pagination. Requirements: Strong Adobe InDesign experience, professional book-production/typesetting experience, and demonstrated experience preparing print books for Amazon KDP. When applying, please provide examples of books you have personally prepared in InDesign and describe your experience taking an already-designed book through final corrections and KDP production. Important: This project requires someone who is comfortable inheriting and working within an existing, professionally built Adobe InDesign file. The book’s design, typesetting, paragraph and character styles, parent pages, pagination, index, glossary, and overall layout are already complete. We are not looking for a redesign. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly understand the existing InDesign structure, implement final editorial corrections carefully, resolve any minor text reflow, and preserve the established formatting and pagination wherever possible. Attention to detail and the ability to make precise, surgical changes without unnecessarily altering the existing design are essential.
