Advanced QuickBooks Online Consultant

We are seeking an experienced QuickBooks Online expert for a project-based engagement to evaluate, optimize, and enhance our accounting and financial reporting systems. We are looking for someone with advanced QuickBooks Online expertise who can help transform our financial reporting from basic bookkeeping into a management-level financial system that provides meaningful insights, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow visibility. Experience working with contingency-fee law firms is highly preferred. Scope of Work QuickBooks Online Optimization Review and evaluate our existing QuickBooks Online setup Recommend and implement best-practice chart of accounts structure Improve account mapping and financial statement presentation Ensure balance sheet and profit & loss reports are accurate and management-ready Assist with reconciliation and cleanup of accounting records as needed Custom Reporting Create advanced management reports including: Revenue by practice area Revenue by attorney Revenue by referral source Case settlement reporting Monthly and quarterly KPI dashboards Profitability analysis Budget vs. actual reporting Operating expense trend reports Cash flow reporting Forecasting & Budgeting Develop systems and reports for: 12-month rolling cash flow forecasts Revenue forecasting Expense forecasting Annual budgeting process Scenario planning and what-if analysis Growth planning metrics Automation & Systems Integration Automate recurring accounting workflows Reduce manual data entry Create dashboard reporting Build automated management reports Recommend integrations with existing software where appropriate Establish efficient month-end reporting procedures Ideal Candidate Required Qualifications: Expert-level QuickBooks Online experience Strong accounting and financial reporting background Experience building custom reports and dashboards Experience with budgeting and forecasting models Ability to analyze and improve accounting processes Strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working with plaintiff personal injury law firms Experience with contingency-fee accounting Experience as a Controller, CFO, Fractional CFO, or senior accounting consultant Experience implementing financial dashboards and KPI reporting Familiarity with legal case management systems Deliverables The successful candidate will provide: Assessment of current QuickBooks Online setup Recommendations for improvements Custom management reporting package Cash flow forecasting model Budgeting framework Automated reporting solutions Documentation and training for internal staff Engagement Details Project-based engagement Remote work acceptable Potential for ongoing advisory relationship Preference given to candidates with law firm accounting experience To Apply Please provide: Summary of your QuickBooks Online expertise Experience with law firms (if any) Examples of custom reports, dashboards, or forecasting models you have created Relevant certifications (CPA, CMA, QuickBooks ProAdvisor, etc.) Estimated timeline and hourly/project rate Description of a similar project you have completed We are looking for a true expert who can help us build a world-class financial reporting and forecasting system within QuickBooks Online.
