Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled, technically competent Shopify Plus Developer to join our team as the primary front-end and implementation engineer for our enterprise e-commerce site, valorcomm.com. In this role, you will work closely alongside our Lead Systems Engineer, who manages our high-level API middleware infrastructure. Because we have a large product catalog (25,000+ items), our environment is a true hybrid ecosystem: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP is the master system managing all Products, Customers, Orders, and Invoices. We need a strong team player who can take technical direction, collaborate seamlessly on data flows, and flawlessly execute modern, stylish front-end designs within our brand guidelines. The Ideal Profile: You are a strong, mid-to-senior level developer who loves building beautiful, high-performing user experiences but also possesses the technical depth to understand complex, external backend architectures. Standard Shopify development experience alone is not a direct match for this environment. While a significant portion of your day-to-day work happens within Shopify, you must be exceptionally strong at API consumption. You don't need to build the core ERP integrations from scratch, but you must know how to consume external APIs, handle Shopify webhooks, manipulate incoming data structures, and ensure the front-end renders these complex data sets flawlessly. Key Responsibilities: • Front-End Modernization: Own the visual layout, styling, and UI/UX of valorcomm.com, ensuring it looks modern, premium, and polished while adhering strictly to our brand framework. • Collaborative Engineering & API Consumption: Partner closely with our Lead Engineer to implement front-end features that rely on a continuous stream of data (products, tiered pricing, inventory, customer accounts) flowing directly from MS Business Central via APIs. • B2B & Markets Management: Implement UI/UX logic that respects Shopify Plus B2B Markets restrictions, ensuring the correct pricing catalogs, volume discounts, and storefront customizations display dynamically based on the authenticated company/user profile. • Catalog & Theme Optimization: Manage complex variant logic and collection page layouts to ensure the site remains fast and responsive despite a 25k+ product count. • Feature Implementation: Build and maintain custom Liquid templates, leverage Shopify CLI, and implement native Shopify Plus B2B/Checkout Extensibility features. • Code Integrity: Maintain clean, well-documented code that aligns with our lead engineer’s architectural standards. Technical Requirements: • API & Data Fluency: Expert-level comfort with API consumption, JSON payloads, webhooks, and manipulating external data models within Shopify. Comfort with Shopify’s REST and GraphQL APIs is required. • Shopify Plus B2B Expertise: Hands-on experience working with Shopify Plus B2B features, Price Lists, Company profiles, and Market-specific theme/catalog overrides. • Strong Front-End Stack: Expert skills in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS/SCSS. You should be able to create sleek, modern web layouts without relying on heavy plugins. • Team-Oriented Mindset: Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative attitude. You enjoy working as part of a technical team and can seamlessly take execution notes from a lead architect.
