Advertising Compliance Counsel for Retail Packaging Claims

Job Description We are a consumer adhesive brand seeking a regulatory attorney for ongoing consultation. We do not need a full audit. We need an expert to occasionally vet technical claims on our retail packaging and guide our competitive advertising strategy. On top of that, we will need to ask broader compliance questions as they impact our retail partners, digital sales channels, and end users. Scope of Work Review technical packaging claims to ensure FTC compliance Clarify industry marketing standards for metrics like tensile versus shear strength Guide our phrasing for technical capabilities so we remain legally safe Clear future competitive advertising campaigns before we print For example, we might need to ask how to safely structure comparative claims against competitors in our Amazon listings or social media ads On top of that, we might need to ask about proper placement and phrasing for state-specific safety warnings on small-format bottles We might need to ask how to navigate environmental marketing regulations if we introduce non-toxic or low VOC claims We might also need to ask how to ensure our consumer warranty statements align with big-box retailer vendor guides Required Qualifications Active US Bar membership with deep expertise in FTC advertising regulations Documented experience vetting physical retail packaging for consumer goods Proven background defending technical performance claims Experience in the hardware, chemical, or adhesive manufacturing industry is highly preferred Project Structure This is an hourly, as-needed consulting role.
