Advisor for Commodity Contract in EMEA Region

We are urgently seeking an individual to act as an advisor with regards to a commodities contract we are currently negotiating with a buyer in the EMEA region. Whilst we have extensive experience in this industry, this is the first time we have arranged such a deal in this particular territory, and we wholly believe that we require regional expertise to enable us to expedite the facilitation of this agreement. Because of this, the chosen candidate for this position will have a notably varied role, including attending remote meetings between parties in multiple time zones. Not only will this involve communicating with our own staff, but also with our buyers and independent contractors at the appropriate time. Despite this, it must be noted that the majority of communications will be submitted to you from our team by email and telephone. Foremost, the successful candidate will be expected to ensure that all obligations arising from this deal are fulfilled until completion, with all international and local regulations adhered to accordingly. For the duration of the contract, this will involve drafting and providing documentation to, and also liaising with, our partners. This includes a plethora of cargo and freight companies, ports, terminals and ships. Such communication will be necessary in order to minimize disruption to our supply chains and mitigate any potential demurrage charges. If so required, the contractor will have the authority to appoint independent inspectors, expeditors and agents, and will also be tasked with monitoring the progress of the delivery on our behalf alongside our operators. Similarly, your tasks will include assisting our team members with logging operational information and data into our trading systems to guarantee that all our legal and fiscal responsibilities are met promptly. All applicants must meet the following requirements: • Be prepared to work in a dynamic and evolving environment, where results may be required rapidly • Be a strong communicator, with exemplary written and spoken language skills, particularly regarding industry terminology • It is preferable that the recruited individual be multilingual • Be articulate and able to demonstrate intelligence, especially when liaising with third parties and issuing instructions to our staff • Be capable of managing relationships with international companies and businessmen • Maintain excellent computer literacy • Have experience in commodity trading operations, although this is not obligatory Due to the urgency of this matter, we are willing to offer a generous pay package in order to secure a high-quality candidate for this crucial role.
