Affiliate Marketing Manager (Grassroots/Street-Level)

Summary

About Us We are a fast-growing UK food-tech company on a mission to help independent restaurants and takeaways take back control of their profits. We provide a powerful, no-commission online ordering system, custom mobile apps, and an integrated EPoS system—all for a simple weekly subscription. No hidden fees, no percentage cuts. Just fair technology for hardworking food business owners. The Role We are looking for a highly driven, street-smart Affiliate Marketing Manager to build and manage a completely new kind of affiliate network. This is not your traditional digital affiliate marketing role. We don’t need someone to run coupon sites or manage digital ad networks. We need a hustler who can recruit, train, and motivate a “boots on the ground” grassroots referral network. Your goal will be to recruit delivery drivers (UberEats, Just Eat, Deliveroo), university students, community leaders, and other street-level referrers to act as our affiliates. They will be the ones walking into local takeaways and restaurants to pitch our system, and you will be the engine that finds them, onboards them, and keeps them motivated to sell. Key Responsibilities • Recruit Grassroots Affiliates: Identify and onboard unconventional affiliates across the UK, specifically targeting gig economy workers (delivery drivers), students, and local community influencers. • Build the Playbook: Create simple, effective training materials, pitch scripts, and onboarding flows so your affiliates can confidently walk into a restaurant and sell our system. • Manage & Motivate: Keep your affiliate network engaged. Track their performance, answer their questions, and ensure they are hitting their referral targets. • Process Optimization: Refine the recruitment funnel to scale our street-level affiliate program efficiently. Required Experience & Skills • Proven experience in affiliate marketing, partnership management, or field sales leadership. • A “hustler” mentality—you are proactive, creative, and comfortable with unconventional outreach methods. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. You need to be able to speak the language of delivery drivers, students, and local business owners. • Experience creating training materials or sales scripts for non-sales professionals. • Highly organized and capable of tracking multiple affiliates and their performance metrics. Nice-to-Haves • Deep knowledge of the UK food sector, particularly the independent takeaway and restaurant scene. • Bilingual (e.g., Urdu, Bengali, Punjabi, Turkish, or Mandarin) is a massive plus, given the demographics of the UK takeaway industry. • Previous experience working with or recruiting gig economy workers. Contract Details & Compensation • Hours: Part-time, roughly 10-15 hours per week to start, with the potential to scale as the network grows. • Structure: We offer a hybrid compensation model—a solid base retainer for your time, plus a generous performance bonus structure based on the number of active, successful affiliates you recruit and the restaurants they sign up. • Location: Remote, but UK-based knowledge and timezone overlap are essential. How to Apply If you are ready to build a street-level sales army and disrupt the UK food delivery monopoly, we want to hear from you. To confirm you’ve read this post carefully and aren’t just spamming applications, please start your proposal with the word ‘CHIPSHOP’. Tell us briefly about your experience with grassroots outreach or field sales, and how you would approach recruiting your first 10 delivery drivers to join our affiliate program.
