African Creator & Influencer Partnerships Lead

About UloIle UloIle is an AI-powered professional opportunity and collaboration platform being built for African professionals across the continent and global diaspora. We are approaching beta and are looking for someone who is deeply connected to African professional, creator and cultural communities to help put UloIle in the hands of the right people. This is not a social media manager role. This is not a content creation role. This is not a traditional digital marketing strategist role. We are looking for someone with relationships, cultural intelligence and the ability to get influential people to take action. The Mission Your primary responsibility will be to identify, reach and activate respected African creators, professionals, tastemakers and community leaders who can help establish early credibility for UloIle. We want people participating in our beta who make others think: “They’re using UloIle? I should see what this is.” We are particularly interested in professionals and creators with influence in: * Technology * Entrepreneurship * Healthcare * Creative industries * Media * Fashion * Entertainment * Philanthropy and social impact * Finance and investing * Professional development * Innovation * Academia * Community building Follower count matters, but credibility and influence within the right audience matter more. What You Will Do Influencer & Tastemaker Identification Identify established and emerging African creators, professionals and cultural tastemakers who align with the UloIle audience. We want both highly visible individuals and “hidden influence” — people who may not have millions of followers but have significant credibility within important professional communities. Direct Outreach Personally reach out to selected individuals and their teams. The objective is not simply to create a spreadsheet of influencers. You must be comfortable opening conversations and building relationships. Beta Seeding Invite selected professionals and creators to participate in the UloIle beta. Help us move people through: Introduction → Interest → Beta Invitation → Download → Activation → Feedback → Advocacy Relationship Management Build genuine relationships with creators and professionals rather than sending mass outreach. Where appropriate, coordinate communication with managers, agencies, assistants and representatives. Community & Ecosystem Partnerships Open relationships with relevant: * Professional communities * Creator communities * Founder networks * Healthcare networks * Technology communities * Professional associations * Alumni networks * Innovation hubs * Accelerators * Cultural organizations * Diaspora organizations Cross-Market Expansion Our priority markets include: Nigeria Ghana Kenya South Africa Rwanda Uganda Ethiopia Senegal Côte d’Ivoire You do NOT need personal relationships in every country. We would rather hire someone with real relationships in several markets than someone claiming to know everyone across Africa. However, you should understand how to open new markets through local connectors, creators and community leaders. What Success Looks Like Our immediate priority is quality, not mass reach. One of our initial goals is to secure at least 10 highly relevant and credible African professionals, creators or tastemakers to actively participate in the UloIle beta. We will track: * Influential professionals identified * Qualified outreach completed * Response rate * Warm introductions secured * Beta invitations accepted * App downloads * Activated beta users * Feedback completed * Organic mentions or referrals * Community partnerships opened * Geographic diversity We are NOT measuring success by how many names you put into a spreadsheet. We are measuring whether the right people actually participate. Who We’re Looking For The ideal candidate may currently work in: * Influencer partnerships * Creator relations * Talent relations * PR * Entertainment/media partnerships * Community partnerships * Cultural marketing * Creator management * Brand partnerships * Ecosystem development You should have: * Existing relationships with African creators or influential professionals * Evidence that you can actually reach people * Experience executing influencer or creator campaigns * Strong understanding of African digital culture * Excellent relationship-building skills * Experience working across multiple African markets * Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp * Excellent written communication * Ability to work independently and move quickly A personal social following is a plus, but your transferable relationships matter more than your own follower count. Your Actual Relationships Of those 10 people, which could you realistically contact within your first week? Explain the relationship or path to them. 6. Market Reach Which of our priority markets do you genuinely understand or have relationships in? Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire. Tell us specifically what your network looks like. 7. Proof You Can Move People Tell us about a time you convinced a creator, public figure, professional leader or community to participate in something. What did you do? What happened? 8. Beta Challenge You start tomorrow. Your goal is to get 10 credible African professionals or creators actively using our beta. What would you do during your first 30 days? Be specific. 9. African Professional Culture Who do you believe currently has genuine influence over the modern African professional? Name five people and explain why. We care deeply about this answer. Budget & Engagement This will begin as a short paid trial engagement around our beta period. We are open to discussing compensation based on experience, existing relationships and demonstrated ability to execute. We are willing to increase the scope and compensation for someone who proves they can consistently open high-value relationships and activate the right people. We already have a marketing team. We are specifically looking for someone who can bring relationships, access, cultural intelligence and execution.
