The Analyst, Strategy & Insights serves as our Guatemala-based analytical resource supporting social listening, digital monitoring, and strategic communications reporting for a client in Guatemala. The Analyst monitors publicly available digital conversations, news media, and social platforms, analyzes emerging trends and public sentiment, and develops concise, executive-level reports that support situational awareness and informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities •Monitor Guatemala's digital media landscape, including social media platforms, online news outlets, blogs, forums, and other publicly available information sources. •Conduct social listening and digital monitoring to identify emerging conversations, narratives, trends, and issues relevant to priorities. •Analyze public sentiment, audience behavior, and digital discourse across multiple platforms. •Prepare daily monitoring summaries, weekly digital monitoring reports, monthly assessments, quarterly trend reports, and annual reporting deliverables. •Develop executive summaries, dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical presentations. •Identify significant developments requiring immediate notification and support rapid-response reporting. •Research Guatemalan media, public opinion, influencers, organizations, and other stakeholders relevant to the operating environment. •Validate information using multiple publicly available sources to ensure analytical accuracy and objectivity. •Collaborate with the Project Manager to refine monitoring priorities and reporting requirements. •Maintain organized documentation and analytical records throughout contract performance. Minimum Qualifications •Must be based in Guatemala. •Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, Marketing, Sociology, Data Analytics, or a related field. •Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in research, media monitoring, communications, journalism, digital analytics, or strategic communications. •Native or professional fluency in Spanish. •Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken). •Excellent analytical, research, and report writing skills. •Strong understanding of Guatemala's media environment, digital landscape, and public discourse. •Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Preferred Qualifications •Experience supporting international organizations, NGOs, or public affairs programs. •Experience using social listening or media monitoring platforms. •Experience preparing executive briefings and analytical reports. •Knowledge of Guatemala's political, economic, and social landscape. •Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools.
