Summary

# QA Tester Needed for AI Insurance / Property Tech Platform We are looking for a detail-oriented QA tester to help test and improve ContentsIQ, an AI-powered platform used to document, identify, value, and organize personal property items after insurance losses. The primary focus will be ContentsIQ, but over time this role may also include QA work on WhatsitAI, our consumer item identification, valuation, and resale app. ## About the Product ContentsIQ helps public adjusters, restoration companies, and eventually policyholders process contents claims more efficiently. Users can upload photos, organize items by job and room, generate item identifications and replacement cost values, review AI outputs, invite policyholders to add information, and export claim-related reports. Because this product deals with real customer workflows, accuracy, usability, and reliability are very important. ## What You Will Do You will help us test new features, identify bugs, document issues clearly, and confirm fixes. Typical work may include: * Testing web application workflows * Testing photo upload and item review workflows * Testing job, room, and item management * Testing user roles and permissions * Testing policyholder review flows * Testing insurer response reconciliation workflows * Testing exports and reports * Testing responsive/mobile web views * Testing performance issues and slow-loading pages * Reproducing bugs reported by users or the team * Creating clear QA notes, screenshots, videos, and bug reports * Retesting fixes after developers make changes As the product grows, this may also include testing parts of WhatsitAI, including item identification, valuation, listing workflows, and mobile app behavior. ## Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: * Very detail-oriented * Comfortable testing complex workflows * Good at documenting bugs clearly * Able to think like a real user, not just follow scripts * Comfortable using screenshots and screen recordings * Reliable and responsive * Able to work independently * Comfortable with web apps and mobile/responsive testing * Good written English is required Insurance, restoration, or claims experience is not required, but curiosity and willingness to learn the workflow are important. ## Helpful Skills Experience with any of the following is helpful but not required: * QA testing for SaaS products * Manual QA * Regression testing * Mobile app testing * Browser/device testing * Firebase-based applications * AI-based products * Bug tracking tools * Writing test cases * Upwork screenshots/video reporting ## What We Need First The first project will likely involve: 1. Learning the basic ContentsIQ workflow 2. Running through a defined QA checklist 3. Testing several active features 4. Reporting bugs and usability issues 5. Retesting fixes after developers update the product If the work goes well, this can become an ongoing part-time role. ## How to Apply Please include: * A short summary of your QA experience * Examples of web or mobile apps you have tested * Your hourly rate * Your availability per week * Your timezone * How you usually document bugs * Whether you can provide screenshots and short screen recordings To show that you read this post, please start your reply with: “ContentsIQ QA” Applications that do not include that phrase may not be reviewed. ## Type of Work * Ongoing part-time role * Manual QA focus * Web app testing first * Mobile and consumer app testing later * Good opportunity for someone who wants steady ongoing QA work with a growing AI product
