Music Video Animator Wanted We are looking for a creator to produce an animated music video for an upcoming Japanese-language release by a Japanese artist. ## Project Overview * Type: Animated Music Video * Duration: Approximately 3–4 minutes * Style: Open to proposals (2D, 3D, motion graphics, mixed media, etc.) * Delivery: Full HD or higher * Schedule: To be discussed ## About the Music The track features influences from Lo-fi, Chill, R&B, Soul, and City Pop, creating a smooth and immersive listening experience. Rather than demanding attention, the song invites listeners to sink into its atmosphere. It emphasizes mood, texture, and emotional subtlety, allowing the listener to become absorbed in the world it creates. ## Key characteristics include: * Lo-fi, Chill, R&B, Soul, and City Pop-inspired sound * Strong emphasis on atmosphere, comfort, and emotional texture * A balance of urban sophistication and warm, nostalgic qualities * Soundscapes that evoke city nights, sunsets, driving scenes, coastal views, and humid summer air * An immersive groove that feels less like storytelling and more like being surrounded by a mood * A calm, spacious, and contemplative world that embraces silence and negative space ## Story Direction We already have a general storyline and narrative structure in mind for the music video. Therefore, rather than seeking a creator to develop an entirely new concept from scratch, we are looking for someone who can build upon the existing story, refine it visually, and elevate it into a compelling final piece. In addition, this project is intended to be more than simply an atmospheric visual experience. We place strong importance on creating a meaningful and emotionally engaging narrative that carefully reflects the song’s world, themes, and emotional progression. Our goal is to create an immersive work with the depth and impact of a short film or animated short—one that leaves a lasting impression on the viewer. We welcome creative input regarding visual direction, storytelling, pacing, and overall presentation. ## Visual Direction We are looking for visuals that complement and enhance this immersive atmosphere. The desired visual tone includes: * Dreamlike and cinematic environments * Soft, painterly aesthetics rather than highly realistic rendering * Gentle color palettes with subtle gradients and atmospheric lighting * Scenes that evoke solitude, reflection, nostalgia, and emotional warmth * Ocean views, twilight skies, city lights, drifting clouds, distant horizons, and quiet landscapes * Surreal elements that feel poetic rather than fantastical * A visual experience that feels like “floating within a memory” The attached reference images capture the overall mood and artistic direction we are aiming for. We are particularly drawn to the balance of minimalism, emotional depth, spacious compositions, and atmospheric color treatment.
