3D/2D Animator Needed for Indie Animated YouTube Series

Hi there, We’re looking for a highly talented animator to join our team as we work on building what we believe can become one of the next great indie animation series on YouTube. This is not a basic short-form ad role. We’re looking for someone with strong taste, strong execution, and a real interest in creating original animated worlds, characters, stories, lore, mystery, and emotionally engaging scenes. The ideal person has strong experience with **3D animation**, but is also comfortable working with or adapting to **2D animation** when needed. We care much more about your portfolio, taste, execution, and creative problem-solving than formal credentials. We’re building a small but ambitious production studio team, so we’re looking for someone who wants to be involved long-term and grow with the project. This could potentially turn into a full-time, high-paying role if we find the right fit. **What we’re looking for:** * Strong 3D animation experience * Ability to work with stylized, very expressive characters * Comfort with 2D animation or hybrid 2D/3D workflows * Strong understanding of pacing, comedy, emotion, and visual storytelling * Interest in lore, mystery, creepy/cute characters, weird worlds, and indie animation * Ability to understand younger audience culture, humor, language, and internet trends!! * Someone resourceful who can figure things out without needing constant hand-holding * Strong creative taste and the ability to bring ideas to life, not just follow instructions mechanically We want someone who can take written ideas, character concepts, story beats, and references, then help turn them into scenes that feel entertaining, polished, and alive. You should be comfortable using whatever tools and resources are available to create the best possible final result. We are not against AI, we want someone who understands how to combine animation skill, creativity, AI tools, and smart workflows to produce something great with a smaller team.
